To Mask or Not to Mask?
We all know that, since COVID, wearing a mask saves lives – yours, mine and those with whom we come into contact. This is what all bona fide scientists tell us. Covering the best part of your face when you’re out and about is a good, life-saving idea. Fact!
However, if you’re one of those unbelievers who doesn’t like looking like a Western Movie bank robber every time you leave your home, despite the scientific proof that you’re helping to spread the dreaded disease, here are a few less serious reasons to cover up.
No more worrying about a piece of lunchtime salad greenery stuck between your teeth when you return to the office and smile at that special someone that’s been dominating your dreams lately. What’s going on beneath your mask is, well, beneath your mask.
If you’re a guy who hates shaving (there’re a surprisingly large number of you), the mask is heaven-sent. You’re not only saving on razors, your hirsute little secret is comfortably nestled behind your facial covering.
When it comes to lipstick, blush or face powder, forget it! Your mask’s got you covered. Rather spend your time and money on creating those Cleopatra-perfect eyes. Stunning!
Make a funny face, stick out your tongue (but not too far if you’re wearing a buff). The other person will be none the wiser.
Best of all, masks now come in a variety of styles, patterns and colors. Who said you can’t look cool while covered?
And, oh yes, while you’re having the best of times in your semi-incognito state of mask-likeness, you’re helping to save lives. Really.
